Sign Ups – Sunday, January 22, 2012, 1:00 p.m. New Ulm Senior High School Gym

PARTICIPATION FEES AND FISH FRY TICKETS WILL NEED TO BE PAID FOR

Volunteer Hours:

Volunteer hours for 2012 will require all families to work approximately 12 hours.

If your child is 8u volunteer time is 6 hours.

Each player in 18u, 16u, 14u, 12u and 10u will be required to purchase shorts from Nicklasson Athletics to be used as uniform shorts.

Rule changes and other expectations will be discussed.

It is important for players and at least one parent to attend the sign up meeting.

Fees:

For 8U fees will be $30.00.

For all other players the fees will be $70.00 per player. Each additional player would be $40.00. Each family has to sell 12 fish fry tickets at $10.00 each. The total cost for a family with one player would be $190.00.

The total cost for a family with two players would be $230.00.

An additional check will need to be written at sign-ups for prepayment of volunteer hours in the amount of $225.

If you are not signed up by the fish fry, the fee will still include the sign up fee plus the $120.00 fish fry fee.

THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS! You will receive your fish fry tickets at the time of the sign ups. If you sell the tickets, you can keep the money. 7 & 8 year olds are not required to sell fish fry tickets.

Please print the registration form and mail to New Ulm Girls Fastpitch Association P.O. Box 366, New Ulm or drop off with Jenny Gieseke at Puhlmann. She will get you your fish fry tickets.

2012 Age Rule

 

The age brackets for 2012 would be as follows:

·        18 & Under – 17 or 18 years old on December 31, 2011.  16 year-old juniors in High School may play up if board agrees it is in the best interest of the individual and the association.  Younger players may play up if they rank in the top 50 percent of the 18 & under age bracket and if the board agrees it is in the best interests of the individual and the association.

 

·        16 & Under – 15 or 16 years old on December 31, 2011.  14 year-old freshman in High School may play up if they rank in the top 50 percent of the 16 & under age bracket and if the board agrees it is in the best interests of the individual and the association.

 

·        14 & Under – 13 or 14 years old on December 31, 2011.  12 year-old 7th graders may play up if they rank in the top 50 percent of the 14 & under age bracket and if the board agrees it is in the best interests of the individual and the association.

 

·        12 & Under – 11 or 12 years old on December 31, 2011.  10 year-old 5th graders may play up if they rank in the top 50 percent of the 12 & under age bracket and if the board agrees it is in the best interests of the individual and the association.

 

·        10 & Under – 9 or 10 years old on December 31, 2011.   Players who have experience in the 8 & under age bracket may play up depending on ability and if the board agrees it is in the best interests of the individual and the association.

 

·        8 & Under – Beginning players in 1st grade up to 9 years old.  Designed for entry –level players.
