2010 Age Rule

 

The age brackets for 2010 would be as follows:

·        18 & Under – 17 or 18 years old on December 31, 2009.  16 year-old juniors in High School may play up if board agrees it is in the best interest of the individual and the association.

 

·        16 & Under – 15 or 16 years old on December 31, 2009.  14 year-old freshman in High School may play up if they rank in the top 50 percent of the 16 & under age bracket and if the board agrees it is in the best interests of the individual and the association.

 

·        14 & Under – 13 or 14 years old on December 31, 2009.  12 year-old 7th graders may play up if they rank in the top 50 percent of the 14 & under age bracket and if the board agrees it is in the best interests of the individual and the association.

 

·        12 & Under – 11 or 12 years old on December 31, 2009.  10 year-old 5th graders may play up if they rank in the top 50 percent of the 12 & under age bracket and if the board agrees it is in the best interests of the individual and the association.

 

·        10 & Under – 9 or 10 years old on December 31, 2009.   Players who have experience in the 8 & under age bracket may play up depending on ability and if the board agrees it is in the best interests of the individual and the association.

 

·        8 & Under – Beginning players in 1st grade up to 9 years old.  Designed for entry –level players.
